Accure Canada colleagues working together
Accure Cares

We’re passionate about all we do.

Accure Cares is where we set out what that means beyond the work itself — our commitments to the communities we are part of, the people we employ, and the land we live and work on.

Land Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that Accure Canada is located on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Lenaapewuk, Haudenosaunee, and Chonnonton Nations. This land continues to be home to diverse Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) whom we recognize as contemporary stewards of the land and water and vital contributors of our society.

Four things we hold ourselves to

An acknowledgement is a starting point, not a conclusion. These are the areas where we think a consultancy our size can actually make a difference, and where we expect to be judged.

Our communities

Our communities

We are a Kitchener, Cambridge and Hyderabad business, and the places our people live are the places our work should show up. Accure Cares is how we organise that: volunteering, skills-sharing and support for local organisations, led by the team rather than by a marketing calendar.

Skills where they are scarce

Skills where they are scarce

The thing we have most of is senior technical expertise. Nonprofits and community organisations rarely have access to it, and it is usually what stands between them and the systems they need. We put that expertise to work through pro bono and reduced-rate engagements.

A workplace people want to stay in

A workplace people want to stay in

Small senior teams only work if the people in them are treated properly. That means structured, consistent hiring, real flexibility about where and when people work, and paying attention to who is in the room and who is not.

Technology with consequences

Technology with consequences

We build systems that handle clinical records, customer data and payments. That carries obligations: data minimisation, honest accessibility work, and declining engagements where the use of the technology would not stand up to scrutiny.

Our commitments

Specific, and written down so they can be held against us.

Paid volunteer time

Two paid days a year, per person, for volunteering with an organisation of their choosing.

Pro bono technical work

A reserved allocation of senior delivery time each year for registered Canadian nonprofits.

Lower-footprint operating

Remote-first by default, with travel booked only where it changes the outcome of the work.

Accessibility as a default

WCAG 2.2 AA as the baseline for what we build, not an upgrade clients have to ask for.

Structured, consistent hiring

The same questions and the same scoring for every candidate for a role, with pay bands set before interviews begin.

Data minimisation

We design for the least data that makes the system work, and we say so when a client asks for more than that.
